Bands & Ensembles

Ensembles/Bands should have a wide repertory of at least 200 songs, covering a variety of different genres (Disco, Motown, 50 ́s & 60 ́s, 70 ́s, etc). Your group should also have different theme sets prepared for performing during the Cruise.

Classical ensemble

Classical Ensembles consist in Duos, Trios & Quartets performing in different longes all around the ship. Ensembles must play different styles of music like Classical, contemporary, & Movies themes. They need to provide an elegant atmosphere for the guests on board.

Party Band

The task of delivering the party on board the cruise ship falls to the party band! Usually consisting of four or five musicians, these bands need a repertoire and ideally two lead singers. Keys, bass, drums, guitar, and lead vocals is the most popular arrangement.

Duo

Both musicians and backing tracks should be included for the duo! a minimum of one lead singer! At least 200 songs should be in a duo's repertoire, and they should be able to accommodate requests while fostering an exciting, lively atmosphere!

Dance Ensemble

At least one vocalist is required for dance ensembles, and it is ideal if other members can provide lead or backup vocals. The perfect lineup consists of guitar, bass, keys, and drums. But there are chances for a band that includes a lead vocalist and three of the four.

Jazz Ensemble

High-quality trios or quartets should perform tunes from the Real Book and original arrangements that showcase their unique styles. The most common setup includes keys, bass, drums, guitar, and possibly a horn, allowing for rich, dynamic performances.

Caribbean Ensemble

At least one lead vocalist and one steel pan player should be included in Caribbean ensembles. Drums, keys, bass, and guitar will also be required. They ought to be able to play by the pool, in lounges and drink areas, and at outdoor bars and events.

Showband Musicians

Showband Musicians must be excellent sight-readers and have the ability to play different styles of music. They should also play Production shows, Guests Entertainers, Top 40 sets and Big Band sets on board. Showband Musicians will perform mostly on the big theatre on board the ship.

Drums

Guitar

Soloists Musicians

Solo entertainers perform in different venues around the ship. They should have a repertoire of at least 200 songs, and they should be able to cover a wide repertory of music: Starting from the 50 ́s until today ́s music.

Solo
Guitar/Vocals

Solo Guitar/Vocalists should have strong English, a varied repertoire from classics to modern hits, and skill with tracks, looping pedals, and harmonizers. Engaging with guests and taking song requests are essential, as they enhance the overall performance experience and create a memorable atmosphere for the audience.

Cocktail Piano/Utility Piano

Those aiming to be cocktail/utility pianists on cruise ships should have a repertoire that goes from classical to contemporary pop and Top 40 hits. They will perform in different venues around the ship during early afternoon and late afternoon. Usually, a utility pianist plays instrumental music. Having backing track Will be a plus.

Solo
Piano/Vocals

Some of the most captivating artists on a cruise ship are solo piano performers. In terms of repertory, they should play music from 1950’s to current Pop hits. It is essential for this job to have the ability to take song requests from passengers and to create a great interaction with the guests during every performance. Theme Nights are require for this position.

Steel Pan

The ideal candidate for the Solo Steel Pan musician position on a cruise ship possesses high- quality backing tracks and an excellent steel pan performance. This entertainer will perform mainly on Caribbean itineraries, and should have a wide repertoire that includes Pop, Motown, Reggae, as well as some dance and Latin styles.
